Outdoor sauna comes to King’s Cross

There’s been an outdoor pool in the heart of the King’s Cross development site for a while now and it’s a great spot for a spot of outdoor bathing. The natural bathing pond is filtered naturally and is the first ever man-made fresh water public bathing pond in the UK. If you want to google it check out the King’s Cross Pond Club. Anyone can pop along, just pay the entry fee and you’re away. Now more recently they have launched a wood-fired barrel sauna. Perfect for winter, this is as close to the Scandinavian outdoor sauna tradition as you’ll get in central London and a perfect winter activity. The sauna will be at the pond club right now and set to remain for the next four months (so around April). It’s free to use for anyone who has paid to swim.

Visiting the Pond Club

The pond is open Monday-Friday from 8am-dusk, and Saturday-Sunday from 10am-dusk.

Tickets are available for designated sessions throughout the day, and two weeks in advance. Prices range from £3.50 to £6.50 for peak swims and non-swimmers will be able to visit the pond at a discounted rate.
