Korres Yoghurt Collection - The Spa Man

Korres launches new Yoghurt Bath and Body Collection

Greek yoghurt is part of the DNA of Greek Culture so it’s no surprise that Korres has developed its Yoghurt Bath and Body Collection. It’s the perfect summer skincare range for the body, cooling and soothing and instantly transports you to a sunny Mediterranean island in the Aegean Sea. The new Yoghurt bodycare essentials, including Showergel, Body Milk, Body Butter and Hand Cream, are powered with the leading ingredient’s ultra-moisturising properties to deliver lasting hydration, deep nourishment and smoothing action. Koreas offer some great Greek themed bath and body collections and infuse the skincare line with some of the very best ingredients from the Greek islands too. Greek Υoghurt is renowned for its beauty benefits due to its high levels of lactose, proteins, minerals and vitamins, which all work to increase the moisture levels in the upper layers of the skin. In fact Korres was the first brand to add real edible Yoghurt when it launched the iconic, Yoghurt Cooling Gel. The range includes: KORRES YOGHURT SHOWERGEL RRP: £8.00 Creamy-foam showergel enriched with moisturizing Yoghurt , Wheat proteins …

I love a bit of LUX*

I came across the LUX* ME range of spa products earlier in the year and was immediately impressed with the smart packaging and no-nonsense style. It tells it how it is. The Lemongrass and Marjoram Bath Oil is a heady mix of asian infused spicy oils which also includes peach, evening primrose, rose hip, peppermint, lavender and of course there is lemongrass and marjoram. You are instantly transported to a tropical island from the minute you pour the oil into a warm bath. Soak for half an hour – it’s bliss. What I was most surprised about was my new-found love for the room spray. Give me a candle or reed diffuser – I’m there. But I’ve always associated room spray with air freshener and the rooms sprays I’ve tried up till now have been fake smelling, overly fragranced and really rather cheap. LUX* ME Mauritius Mango & Papaya Room Mist (how could you resist a name like that) is sweet-smelling and a true delight. It’s like opening the window and a tropical breeze blowing …

Bodhi unveils new branding

Bodhi is one of those brands that I really rate. I love the ethos, the packaging and the product. Now, after just three years it has rebranded as Bodhi & Birch. I am currently loving the Pep Noir Shower Gel – it’s spicy and peppery and has a great texture, so you don’t lose half of it before you can apply it to your body. It’s the perfect start to the day. Don’t know Bodhi? It draws on a mix of Eastern and Western skincare and wellbeing philosophies, with some additional inspiration from the healing power of nature and traditional botanical remedies. Made in England, Bodhi & Birch products are expertly blended using natural ingredients ethically sourced from sustainable origins. I love how the brand uses an unusualy and heady mix of essential oils and active botanicals. It’s truly distinctive. The entire range is designed to stimulate the regeneration of healthy skin and maintain it at optimum levels. I haven’t tried any of the facial skincare range to date (which is quite comprehensive) but it’s …

Champneys Mineral Detox Bath Salts

THE STORY: Champneys Mineral Detox Collection was inspired by the popular Thalassotherapy treatment available at Champneys Spas. There are four products in the collection enriched with sea minerals and seaweed extracts to help detoxify the skin. I decided to give the Mineral Detox Bath Salts a go. It’s quite a potent smell and slightly sickly and synthetic. Once you mix it into a bath, it’s not so strong, but not my favourite. THE SCIENCE: The bath salts are formulated with a blend of seaweed extract and sea salt to help detoxify, leaving your skin feeling cleansed, smooth and refreshed. It’s said to have scents of patchouli, lemon peel oil and orange oil that are designed to revive and refresh. I got a lemony scent. THE VERDICT: Sadly, I wouldn’t bathe in it again. Sorry, thumbs down for this one. THE DETAILS: £8 www.boots.com
