Korres Yoghurt Collection - The Spa Man

Korres launches new Yoghurt Bath and Body Collection

Greek yoghurt is part of the DNA of Greek Culture so it’s no surprise that Korres has developed its Yoghurt Bath and Body Collection. It’s the perfect summer skincare range for the body, cooling and soothing and instantly transports you to a sunny Mediterranean island in the Aegean Sea. The new Yoghurt bodycare essentials, including Showergel, Body Milk, Body Butter and Hand Cream, are powered with the leading ingredient’s ultra-moisturising properties to deliver lasting hydration, deep nourishment and smoothing action. Koreas offer some great Greek themed bath and body collections and infuse the skincare line with some of the very best ingredients from the Greek islands too. Greek Υoghurt is renowned for its beauty benefits due to its high levels of lactose, proteins, minerals and vitamins, which all work to increase the moisture levels in the upper layers of the skin. In fact Korres was the first brand to add real edible Yoghurt when it launched the iconic, Yoghurt Cooling Gel. The range includes: KORRES YOGHURT SHOWERGEL RRP: £8.00 Creamy-foam showergel enriched with moisturizing Yoghurt , Wheat proteins …

Korres Santorini Vine

Korres is quintessentially Greek to me. The ingredients, the collections and the inspiration. Popular right across the country, it’s widely available around the world and this year the brand launched two partner products inspired by the icon of the Greek islands, Santorini. If you have ever been to this beautiful island in the Aegean, you will know it’s famous for the white Cycladic architecture,  a breathtaking landscape and the huge caldera (and some eye watering prices in bars with a view). What you may not know is that the island is also famous for wine, particularly the white grape, Assyrtiko, from which this collection takes its inspiration. The range itself has a fruity note and grape extract which creates a distinct, naturally sweet aroma. Influenced by the volcanic soil in which it grows and the sea air, this collection is enhanced by additional notes of green apple, floral, citrus, peach and minerals – all reminiscent of green fresh blossoming vineyards…the scent of Santorini in the Summer. SANTORINI VINE SHOWERGEL RRP: £8.00 (250ml) It’s fresh, light …

Korres Black Pine Serum

THE STORY: Korres has launched a new anti-ageing, anti-wrinkle serum. Black Pine Serum is based on Black Pine extract – a rich source of polyphenols that helps to firm and tone the skin. It’s a thick serum that borders on being a light gel. It absorbs easily, sits well under any moisturiser and I used it in the morning (and at night when I remembered). THE SCIENCE: Stick with me – I found it a little complicated and have tried to really simplify it. Connective tissue is constantly being renewed through protein synthesis and the partial degradation of those proteins by metalloproteinases (MMPs). Black Pine polyphenol has been shown to regulate MMPs thus helping to maintain skin tone and texture. Hyaluronic acid – helps hydration Black Tea – restores skin volume Oat polysaccharides – skin firming and volume Hexapeptide 11 – firms skin and increases elasticity Soy fibres – boost collagen And there’s a lot more that work in synergy to make this a super-serum. THE VERDICT: I like the texture, the feeling on my …

Korres Men’s Cleanser

THE STORY: I am a huge fan of Korres. The ingredients, the packaging, the down to earth nature of the whole brand and the fact that it’s not only natural, but smells good and works a treat. My all time favourite from the range is the Korres Ginseng Men’s Cleanser from the men’s line. It’s not too strong, it doesn’t foam up too much and is just right for cleansing my face first thing in the morning. It’s not drying either. It’s quick, simple and easy. THE SCIENCE: Formulated with vegetable derived soap substitutes, this liquid gel cleanser does just that – deeply cleanses. Ginseng extract enables the delivery of nutrients to the skin, thus improving its tone, firmness and general look and feel. It has been formulated specifically to avoid over-stripping or irritating the skin – which I love. Just so you know, it’s also got Sage extract, Oat proteins, oligo-minerals and glycerins – so it’s quite hydrating too. THE VERDICT: I do like waking up to this face wash. It suits my skin, …
