As far as shaving gel’s go – there is a vast difference in quality and you can really notice this, the more you pay. Standard mass market high street brands are good – don’t get me wrong. I use these regularly, but if you are prepared to pay a bit more – the quality and performance improves dramatically. That’s what I found with Thalgo Men Shaving Gel. It’s £10.60 – it won’t break the bank, especially as it really lasts. The nozzel that releases the gel from the can is quite small – so you only use a small amount – actually it delivers exactly what you need. My experience of mass market shave gels is that the nozzel releases far too much product and you go through it twice as fast.
Performance? Thalgo Men Shaving Gel gave a smooth shave, the gel lightly foams and is a great texture that applies easily and allow the razor to glide across the skin. It’s got a gentle citrus, marine-like fragrance and I really loved it. I’m not just gushing for the sake of it. I really rate this. It rinses easily from the blade and helped keep razor burn to a minimum.
It contains a special algue bleue vitale algae extract that helps to calm your stressed skin by preventing fatigue in the skin cells. Thalgo Men Shaving Gel also promotes anti-ageing as it stimulates cell renewal.
Love it. Great shave, smooth finish and sad when it finished.
