Four Seasons Park Lane - Mother's Day Spa - The Spa Man

Mother’s Day is a time to celebrate the most important woman in your world so why not send your Mum to one of the best London spas for Mother’s Day. Whether she is a spa novice or a spa savvy treatment fan, there’s no better way to say I love you Mum than by booking a spa treatment, half day package or even a whole day’s pampering. The spas I have selected for the Best London spas for Mother’s Day include locations where you can laze around all day or just pop in and out for a single treatment. Whether its champagne in hand for a pedicure or something more enlightening at ESPA Life at Corinthia. These are just a few ways of saying Happy Mother’s Day with The Spa Man’s pick of the best London spas for Mother’s Day.

Four Seasons Park Lane

The gorgeous spa at Four Seasons Park Lane plays host to a pop up from Hungarian brand Omorovicza. The brand has teamed up with the Chelsea Physic Garden to offer a range of treatments and has created a soothing relaxation lounge experience. Treat Mum to a pampering facial that combines Moor Mud from Hungary, facial massage and rose scented gold mask.  The spa at Four Seasons Park Lane is situated on the 10th Floor of the hotel with commanding views of the city and Hyde Park. It’s one of the Spa Man’s favourites and I know your Mum will love it too.

Dolphin Square Spa - the Spa Man

The Spa at Dolphin Square

The Spa at Dolphin Square pays homage to all things Moroccan and will instantly transport your Mum to an exotic destination. The reception area is part retail area, part waiting room and you know you have arrived in a Moroccan themed spa. My top pick at this spa is to book Mum in for an invigorating Hammam. The soothing warm water and energising body scrub done in a traditional Moroccan style is an experience to remember. For a more pampering session there are facials on the menu.

Hamman Ritual: £42

House of Elemis - The Spa Man

The House of Elemis

Modern, light, airy and contemporary, every element of the The House of Elemis is welcoming and the staff will always welcome your Mum with open arms. The day spa doesn’t have facilities to lounge around in a robe, but simply booking a facial, body treatment or combined package – you are guaranteed to bring a smile to her face. You could opt for a voucher and let her choose, but my bet is to pre-empt this and schedule a new BIOTEC Facial treatment. The results are impressive (I’ve tried them first-hand). If she’s more about soothing and relaxing, then a Deeper than Deep Hot Stone Massage might be in order. It should be high on your list when looking for the best London spas for Mother’s Day.

BIOTEC Line Eraser – £125 for 1 hour

ESPA Life at Corinthia - The Spa Man

ESPA Life at Corinthia

For a more serious wellness offering, you will be hard pressed to beat ESPA Life at Corinthia. For on-trend treatments for the anxious, stressed-out Mum, try booking her in for a Mindfulness Massage or Mindful Facial. These have been specifically designed to help centre the guest before taking them on a spa journey to truly calm and soothe the nerves restoring vitality and energy. Soothing and restoring, these are my top picks for the tired Mum who has been working way too hard.

Margaret Dabbs London The Spa Man review

Margaret Dabbs Foot Clinic

OK, we aren’t saying your Mum has bad feet – but everyone loves a pedicure and if you are going to book one – this place is the best there is. There’s a range of pedicure treatments on offer and all are great. My recommendation is to upgrade the experience to a medical pedicure for serious foot filing, soothing creams and lotions, fabulous feet massage and even an inhalation of pure oxygen. Mum will love you forever – I promise you.

Medical Pedicure: £85 for 80 minutes

Cowshed Spa Shoreditch house - The Spa Man

Cowshed Spa, Shoreditch House

There are Cowshed Spas across the capital and they are all great. I speak from experience when I recommend Cowshed Spa at Shoreditch House. Which I why I selected this location to feature in the best London spas for Mother’s Day.

In the treatment rooms there are some excellent facials and massage treatments to try. All are top notch. But once again I think a pedicure is the best bet here. In the huge armchairs you have can have the full works with foot filing, fine cuticle work, foot massage and if you want – a polish colour of your choice (I opted for a clear coat). Add a glass of Prosecco to the package and it’s spa heaven.

Ultimate Cowshed Pedicure: £ 70 for 75 mins | £70

Jurlique Store London - The Spa Man

Mum and roses go hand in hand and Jurlique’s signature product is the Hydrating Rosewater Mist. It’s used in most of its treatments and is heavenly. My top pick at this compact store with a single treatment room is the Best of Both Worlds Treatment. It begins with a foot soak, then proceeds with a half an hour soothing back and shoulder massage. But that’s not all, Mum will then experience a delightful, radiance boosting facial tailored to her skin needs. Serious pampering and the best of both worlds. Jurlique has lots of offers and you can buy a course of treatments or combine with a gift set. Brave the crowds on Oxford Street and book it for Mum right now.

£70 – 1 hour

Steve Karle at Akasha Holistic Wellbeing Centre - The Spa Man

Akasha Holistic Wellbeing Centre

This is for something completely different for the spa-mum who has tried everything. Watsu with Steve Karle at Akasha really is a cut above the average spa session. Watsu is a water therapy combining massage and body work in the warm water of an indoor pool. It’s cocooning, comforting and liberating and energizing at the same time. Part massage, part underwater dance, it releases tension in the muscles and improves flexibility and range of movement in the body.  Steve has taken inspiration from Watsu and developed his own technique and his Aquatic Therapy elevates this to something that is truly sublime.
